Gold Bear Foundation
Founder/President
Jiya Patil
Hi. My name is Jiya, and I’m a junior at Foothill High School this year. I founded Gold Bear Foundation because I wanted to reduce the stigma around economic disadvantage--I believe it's our job to provide support to those who are struggling. Beyond working to expand this mission, I enjoy learning more about neuroscience, hanging out with my friends, and listening to music.
Executive Board
Megha Ramkumar
Hey everyone! I'm Megha. I joined this cause because I believe everyone has the right to live the life they envision. And of course, I wanted to support a beautiful cause to change the lives of so many people. When I get some free time, I love to read John Green, listen to body positivity podcasts and a lot of music, practice badminton, and bake.
Prisha Purohit
Hi! I’m Prisha, and I’m a senior at San Ramon Valley High School. I joined Gold Bear Foundation because I love the mission. It’s so nice to know that I helped make an impact in someone’s life. In my free time, I watch conventional sitcoms, do musical theatre, and listen to excessive amounts of R&B.
Sriya Potturu
Hey, my name is Sriya Potturu and I’m a senior at John P. Stevens High School in Edison, New Jersey. I’m the chapter president of the NJ chapter! I wanted to join Gold Bear Foundation so that I could get the opportunity to help people in need. When I’m not volunteering with the foundation, I enjoy painting, singing, biking, and spending time with family and friends!
